AGES 9 - 14
This is an 8-week project-based course that is designed for artists between the ages of 9 and 14 who are looking to develop their skills in beat makings and rhyme writing. Over the duration of the course, learners will develop digital production skills, collaborate on projects, participate in a creative community of their peers, learn hip-hop history and culture, compose original songs, and learn from internationally recognized Hip Hop artists.
Here’s what students will learn:
BEATS:
Focuses on developing the technical skills and theoretical knowledge involved in music production
Suggested Materials: 32GB flash drive to save work
Equipment: Laptops and Controllers Provided
RHYMES:
In this class, students will learn:
Develops writing skills and knowledge of song composition.
Suggested Materials: a composition notebook, phone, laptop, or iPad.

BREAKING 101
AGES 6-12
Breaking 101 is an 8-week introductory course that meets weekly on Thursdays from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm.
In this class, students learn:
FOUNDATION:
Introductory breaking skills and provides an introduction to hip-hop culture. Students will focus on the following skills: TopRock, Floorwork, Freezes, Philosophy Flavor, and History.
CYPHER // BATTLE ETIQUETTE:
Students will engage in regular battles and cyphers to learn the difference between the two and assist in their development as breakers.
Educator:
Tabor Vits along with various special guest teachers throughout the 8-week classes.

BREAKING 102
AGES 13+ or meets requriements
Breaking 102 is an 8-week advanced course that meets weekly on Thursdays from 6:15 pm - 7:30 pm.
Class Requirements:
Ages 13 years old or older automatically qualify for this class
If younger than 13 you must pass the criteria test and have instructor approval.
In this class students learn:
POWER movement:
Building on Foundation of 101, 102 will introduce the techniques, principles, and concepts around Power Moves: Windmills, 90’s, Flares, etc.

intro 2 DJ’ing
inquiry open to AGES 10-19
Intro to Dj’ing is an 8-week beginner’s class for aspiring DJs. Students will learn the fundamental concepts, skills, philosophy, and history of the art of DJ’ing.
Must-Have Equipment: Personal laptop, DJ Controller, External hard drive.
Educators:
